I sometimes feel like our bodies have a “check engine” light right in the middle of our chests.
And just like we ignore our car’s warnings, so too do we ignore our bodies. We limp on, denying it at first, and then we learn to mask the little hiccups.
We limp on for various reasons of course. Of course! Ask me, I know.
But just like the car story always goes, the breakdown is only a matter of time. We inevitably break down in the middle of a rainy road one morning on a very important day and end up spending way more at a time we are our most broke. We also do irreparable damage to the whole engine.

I’m challenging myself this week:
- To attend to that “check engine” light
- To go just as far as I can…and then a little further the next day.
It’s not just self-care, it’s about rewiring old circuits for me – – by taking baby steps.
Perhaps you want to try too?
I see you,
xoxo Lee
