Hey, I’m Lee & I’m a recovering YES-Girl:-)

But I’m so proud of myself this week! *Someone tell the barman to give this chick a Bells!*
Guess what I did?
1. I emailed a colleague to tell her that I am “slow” this week and that the ideas are “not flowing freely”. I’ve never really done that before. Old me would have pushed and pushed. The results would have been mixed (not my usual) and I would be filled with feelings of regret/shame/guilt/inadequacy/sloppiness. You know?
2. The second thing I did this week was say NO. It was a firm no and it was so easy! Again, old me would have come up with an excuse, sent a million apologies and tried to make up for it afterwards. Instead, I affirmed the boundary and went for a long swim like a boss. Boom!
These are little things my friends but for an ex yes-girl like me, they’re huge strides.
We’re getting there…
Can you relate?
xoxo
Lee
