I’ve come to understand the truth behind the saying “water has no effect on fake flowers” through some of my most challenging relationships.
In these experiences, I invested a great deal of time, love, and effort into connections that, at their core, lacked authenticity. I poured my heart into nurturing these relationships, hoping they would bloom into something beautiful and lasting. Yet, despite my best efforts, they remained unfulfilling and stagnant, much like watering artificial flowers that will never truly grow. The more I tried, the more I realised that you cannot cultivate sincerity where it doesn’t exist.
If anyone reading this needs a reminder, let this be it: genuine relationships are built on a foundation of trust, honesty, and mutual respect.

I was reminded about this while doing my weekly flower therapy in the most magnificent garden setting today. True relationships, like real flowers, will flourish with the right kind of care and attention, and they are worth every effort.
I see you,
xoxo Lee
