Life is full of contradictions. Some days it’s traffic, sickness, loss, conflict, and to our horror even war! Other days, it’s joy, celebration, connection, and those small, unexpected moments of beauty — often in the car, very often in the kitchen.
I’ve found my balance through a simple practice: noticing the little things. Every day, I write down small moments that might seem insignificant—a perfect parking spot, a busker playing Dobie Grey on the guitar, perfectly crisp fish batter, the bright lighthouse pattern on someone’s dress. I’ve been doing this for years, and now I have boxes of these notes, filled with moments I might have forgotten. It’s become my greatest treasure.

This practice has shown me that gratitude is a quiet but powerful force. It doesn’t erase the tough stuff, but it reminds you of the magic hidden in the otherwise mundane. And the more you do it, the more you’ll notice just how much there is to be grateful for.
This is your invitation.
I see YOU,
Lee
