I had a crap morning working on complex minutes of a finance meeting. I was dying for a coffee! There was no time to get/make one. My head was spinning by 12noon when I finished the minutes and submitted to my client. Coffee! I needed coffee.
I closed my laptop and drove to the gym. My plan was to have a coffee after my 30 minute swim but my shower took longer than expected and I had 10 minutes to rush for my daughter’s pickup.
We rushed to her extra maths lesson and I said “shoo love, I need a coffee!” Reply: “pleaseeeee no! Mama no!” (Kid didn’t want me to get out of the car to buy one at her maths centre *insert rolling eyes emoji*)
So, I parked in the shade and rolled my seat right down. A Mel Robbins podcast it will have to be.…
Hardly a minute later, I see a face at my window. “Is everything okay there?” (Well I am sure everything didn’t look okay! Shoes off, hair like a jungle, red skin from eczema and red eyes from the chlorine) “Can I offer you a coffee? Yes! You need a coffee!”
I never saw the stranger again (she jumped into her car with her 2 year old barefoot blonde boy)
But my coffee arrived!
And it was heavenly.

It’s a random Tuesday, people. And I accept the magic with a bigggggg, open heart.
So Grateful,
Lee
